Mexico: 15 Photos That Will Make You Want to Visit

One of the first thoughts that came to my mind when I wanted to share my experiences from Mexico was – how can a dreamy 3 week vacation be put into words on a single internet page?

Then I remembered the famous phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words” and figured that photos would probably be the best way for me to transfer the feels of my trip through a screen.

The trip was everything we wanted it to be and more, a perfect choice for a honeymoon destination. We were aiming for a combination of luxury together with adventure and tried to visit as many local places as possible to get the real vibe of Mexico.

Of course the choice of the east coast, one of the most touristic areas in Mexico, made that slightly challenging in certain destinations, but the islands certainly made up for all the hustle and bustle that we experienced in Cancun.

Being transparent, I would highly recommend honeymooners to avoid Cancun, unless you are in to the whole ‘staying at an all inclusive 5 star resort for a week’. We felt like it was  over modernised, and as we were more about moving around and exploring, it wasn’t quite our cup of tea. Otherwise, if you are more of an ‘adventurer but still want to enjoy some luxury on the way’ kind of person,  you should definitely spend most of your time on the islands such as Isla Mujeres, Cozumel and one jem we sadly missed out on but will certainly visit on our next trip – Isla Holbox.

I promise to publish a full guide of our trip with all my tips and recommendations, but until then check out 15 photos from our trip to Mexico that will hopefully encourage you to visit too!
