Every season brings something exciting with it, but I must admit that spring time is by far the season that I find most exciting.
The weather is warmer, flowers are blooming, clothes are brighter and most importantly we get to enjoy the sunshine.
It’s the best opportunity to enjoy being outside with a thin jacket right before the summer arrives and right after surviving the cold crispy winter.
There are so many things to do in this short period of time, I’ve gathered a list of 5 ways to celebrate springtime in the best way possible.
1) Go out on a picnic
Gather your friends, get your favourite straw picnic basket out from the back of your cupboard – it’s time for some rosé and sunshine. Whether you live in the city, countryside or seaside, find the nearest park or beach, grab a picnic blanket, fruit and snacks and get picnicking.
2) Buy a bouquet of fresh flowers
For all those flower lovers out there, spring is the perfect season. Treat yourself and your home to a beautiful fresh bouquet of flowers, you’ll be surprised how much energy and colour it adds to your home. A typical sign of the spring in France is the Lily of the Valley, known in France as “muguet”. These bell shaped flowers can be found typically in the North of France from the end of April and the beginning of May.
3) Wear a spring Outfit
Spring collections are finally out! Treat yourself to a floral dress and a straw bag to start off your spring season on the right foot. My seasonal favourite has to be my new white floral top from Zara’s spring collection, you can find it here.
4) Buy seasonal fruit
Get your shopping baskets out and head to the nearest food market, it’s time to enjoy some seasonal fruit. Strawberries, grapefruit, apricots and pears are only a small selection from all the delicious seasonal fruit you can find.
5) Enjoy the Sunshine
Last but not least, the most important way to enjoy the spring. Don’t forget to wear a hat, sunglasses and bring your sunscreen before going out, the sun might not be at its peak but it’s still important to protect our skin.
